River Haven

Turning Point Foundation

River Haven is a new beginning for homeless individuals who are ready to transition into our local community.

In 2006 Turning Point Foundation took a group of people living along the river bottom in tents and started them on the path to hope and the promise of turning their lives around. Our local community donated funds to enable Turning Point to purchase shelter geo-domes and offer services to assist with the transition from homelessness to hopefulness. In 2018, with generous community support, we were able to replace the worn domes with tiny houses, manufactured by Tuff Sheds and come with a 30-year warranty.

Turning Point’s River Haven Program remains a tiny house community with on-site case management available to assist residents with mental health treatment referrals, assistance in establishing a stable source of income, and help with obtaining permanent housing.  Our success with this program has been to house homeless individuals throughout the County of Ventura from a variety of populations which include Veterans, TAY (Transitional Aged Youth), Seniors, along with individuals that are addressing mental health, substance challenges, and disabilities.

We accept referrals by phone, walk-in or through agency partners at either One Stop location or our HMIS system.
