New Visions Center & Oxnard Clubhouse

New Visions Center is located at 1065 E. Main St., Ventura, CA. Oxnard Clubhouse is located at 426 W. 5th St., Oxnard, CA. Both provide rehabilitation services to members struggling with severe mental illnesses. They provide a safe space for clients to learn symptom management skills, improve their community living skills, learn to live more independently, engage in work and productive activities, participate in recreational activities and become integrated back into our communities. Ventura County Behavioral Health referred clients receive mental health rehabilitation, vocational services including work training and paid work experience, as well as hot meals.

Our goal is to help those struggling with mental health and experiencing homelessness by mitigating barriers to services to help individuals maintain and or create a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

Anxiety and depression are the world's most common mental challenge, affecting approximately 16 percent of adults at some point in their lives. There are various forms of anxiety. Without treatment, they can become severe and persistent and can lead to physical symptoms. Stress-related events, such as the holidays & birthdays, trigger half of all depressive episodes. If you or someone you know is suffering with depression or anxiety educate yourself and get help from a doctor. Medication and therapy are scientifically proven to help improve your mood. We can help you connect with Ventura County Behavioral Health for a referral.

Rapid Integrated Support & Engagement

The RISE program is offered by Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) specifically to encourage and enable individuals in these situations to get assessment and treatment through a team of VCBH clinicians and Community Service Coordinators. VCBH contracts with Turning Point Foundation to have peer-based recovery specialists be part of the RISE team (who support outreach and engagement efforts). Again, if someone has or appears to have mental health problems and is unable or unwilling to access assessment and/or treatment, RISE can help. Please visit the RISE Program - Ventura County Behavioral Health (vcbh.org) for more information.
