HOUSING PROGRAMS

Everyone needs safe, decent, stable housing. For some of the most vulnerable people in America — people with mental illness, chronic health conditions, histories of trauma, and other struggles — a home helps them to get adequate treatment and start on the path toward recovery (Center of Budget & Priority Policies).

Permanent Supported Housing

Permanent Supported Housing provides housing for people with mental health, most of whom have experienced homelessness and have regained their independent living skills. These permanent housing programs are designed to assist residents in maintaining community living skills and integration while achieving lasting residential stability. Housing includes Stephenson Place in Ventura, Wooley House in Oxnard and Villa Calleguas managed by Turning Point in Camarillo. Learn More.

Not everyone with a severe mental illness is independent enough to thrive in permanent supportive housing. Some still need help with meals, laundry, and medications. That’s where Residential Care Housing comes to their aid, Thompson Place in Ventura, and Senior (59+) Residential Care Housing Oak Place in Camarillo for people that have struggled with mental health for a lifetime and have been referred by VCBH.
